Our location is conveniently aligned at Schaefer's Canal House, one of the most breath taking atmosphere and charming locations throughout Maryland. Recently voted Best of the Bay in multiple categories including: Best Crab Cake & Best Soft Shell Crab Cake, Schaefer's offers a venue that presents many possibilities when planning your weekend or mini vacation in Chesapeake City. Enjoy local favorite entrees either on the spacious deck at Schaefer's or on board the M/V Bay Breeze. Many guests will either dine at Schaefer's before or after the boat cruise so that they don't miss a second of the scenery when they are out on the waterway with us!
If you are in the area or Town of Chesapeake City and wanting to experience some of the other local flavors of restaurants then we are able to arrange pickup at the Chesapeake Inn docks or the Town of Chesapeake City public dock. South Chesapeake City is home to some very popular dining locations besides the most distinguished and established Schaefer's Canal House. The trendy Chesapeake Inn Restaurant, historical Bayard House Restaurant, or the up and coming Prime 225 Restaurant all are excellent choices that offer different varieties of flavors that are sure to wet your appetite palette! M/V Bay Breeze is a very well known and established business, locally owned and operated. In addition to the town B & B's and local shops which round out the nautical experience Chesapeake City represents, there is much to see and much to do. We can be your tour guide!

Our philosophy is that we want to deliver some interesting and factual talking points, history, facts/figures, or local knowledge pertaining to our routes. The Upper Chesapeake Bay offers tons of stories, history, and other facts that couldn't possibly all be discussed in one visit with us! Walk-On & Public Boat Tours: Be sure to set your GPS coordinates to the Bay Breeze cruise boat and come visit us during your trip to Chesapeake City, Maryland
Small Groups: We always welcome small groups on board our cruise boat. Parties of 6 or less can book online or call us to schedule a cruise. We encourage you to book early if you are planning a special date because we tend to book months in advance for many of the trip times. When you call the day of the cruise we will do our best to book you on any available trip time, however we now can offer to our walk-on guests that we have another vessel in our fleet as a possible option in Havre De Grace, Maryland called M/V Summer Breeze. This vessel is our second location which allows our guests to experience another breath-taking tributary of the Chesapeake Bay region along with receiving the same top-notch service, and knowledgable they would receive on the M/V Bay Breeze.
Walk-On guests: However if you are looking for that spontaneous thing to do for the day or evening we also welcome walk-ons. If you are within 24 hours of a regular scheduled cruise, on any trip time, then you have to call us to reserve your seats! If we have a public cruise getting ready to depart from North or South Chesapeake City and there is available seats for your party to join then we will be thrilled to add you to our boat ride! Some of our best cruises throughout the years has been complied of complete strangers all with different stories, backgrounds, and expectations. All of the guests were walk-on's just visiting Chesapeake City, in many ways for a number of reasons, but at the end of the trip everyone came together as if they have been lifetime friends.

With over 30,000 commercial vessels ranging from Cargo/Container ships, tugs, chemical & oil barges, U.S Navy ships, research vessels, and mega yachts the C&D canal has plenty of traffic passing through. Being located directly on the intercostal waterway, the C&D Canal and Elk River area can become an extremely populated boating area for all kinds of watercraft.
We want to have the opportunity to give your non-profit or foundation such a memorable experience that the guests who attended the cruise will boast and brag to all of their colleuges about the experiences and new stories they have to share! By creating alliances with non-profits and charitable events we are able to promote and advertise with you to populate the event, therefore creating a partnership for years to come. Over the years being able to donate to a worthy cause, contribute to cancer research for kids, or simply to help churches with food drives it has made us internally grateful that we are able to have the opportunity to help the community in our small part. It makes the journey so much more gratifying, and that is the core of our business!
We also have the privilege of witnessing some of the amazing wildlife of the Chesapeake Bay tributaries including Bald Eagles, Blue Heron's, and Osprey's. During our cruise we discuss part of the wildlife that makes up the foundation of this area and go over the habitat and survival of these amazing animals. So kick back and enjoy the view!!
