The Breeze Fleet Boat Crew: Meet the Team

Truly a unique group of characters. Once your put them near the guests next thing you know then the music is turned up, beers are flowing, and the sun starts setting...

Our captains are trained, licensed, and specialize in the maritime industry. They each hold a 50 Gross Ton Master OUPV license. We trust them with the safety and well-being of our passengers and crew. Captain's on board M/V Bay Breeze hold the utmost demenier with regards to professionalism, character, and knowledge of the area. 

 

Stewards on board Bay Breeze expemplify customer service and commetiment to good times for everyone of our guests. Our goal is for you and your party to feel comfortable, entertained, and safe while underway. 

 

From the time you book your event with us to the time you depart the boat, we want you to have a top notch time! So we want you to sit back and enjoy a cold drink, some Blue crabs, and the beautiful scenery, we got the rest!

Meet our Captain's

Meet Captain Dennis McVey

March 15, 2016

Captain McVey has extensive knowledge of boat operating and will ensure the safety of our guests at all times. He is a  safety oriented Captain traversing the Chesapeake, Delaware Bays along with all of the associated rivers for over fifteen years. Dennis was the sole proprietor of Anchor's Away which he taught people on-water instruction on Lake Hopatcong, Greenwood Lake, and the Hudson River.

Captain McVey knows extensively the Upper Chesapeake Bay and has been a great addition to our fleet of captains. He has navigated Conestoga River, Susquehanna River, Hudson River, Delaware River, Lake Hopatcong, Greenwood Lake, Lake Clark, Chesapeake Bay many times over the years. Knowledge and safety are critical for any captain to have but very few have mastered boat handling as well as Dennis has. In addition, he is able to get the party on  board started and create a very chill atmosphere.  

Meet Captain Scott Wells

Captain Scott Wells joined the party several years ago which would make him our JO Spiced seasoned captain. Scott has years of experience on the water ranging from towing to sailing and in to the tour business with us.  

Meet Captain Greg Seifert

April 15, 2016

Captain Greg came to the Chesapeake by way of New Jersey and PA. After teaching 3 years, serving 26 years in the NJ State Police then farming 17 years  using a team of Belgian Draft horses, he got a 100Ton USCG Captain's license. He began working for the Bay Breeze Cruise Boat in 2016. Captain Greg grew up on the Delaware River where he began his boating skills and developed them thru the years on different sized boats operating them in the bay and ocean. He held a commercial fishing license in North Carolina where he supplemented his income during the late 1980's. Captain Greg fell in love with the Eastern Shore and the Chesapeake Bay and is now a permanent resident in Chestertown, Maryland. 

Meet Captain John Walczak

Capt. Jon was born and raised on the Delmarva Peninsula his entire life. Growing up fishing and hunting, Jon cut his teeth at a young age exploring the various tributaries of the scenic Chesapeake and Delaware Bays. He is licensed REALTOR and a USCG licensed Captain, with 100 T Master and Towing Endorsement. Jon has extensive offshore experience of power vessels both big and small in all weather conditions twelve months out of the year. Capt Jon has done everything in his career on the water from operating 50-80 foot crew boats off shore while deliver pilots, ships supplies, and crew members to towing various disabled boats safely back to the dock, to commercial fishing, to simply just kicking back and boating for fun and relaxation.

Meet Captain Dan Goral

Dan is an avid adventurer and lover of all things outdoors.  He has been boating his entire life, loves to fish and crab, and once volunteered his boat and time supporting an adaptive water sports program for paraplegic athletes.  Dan also has been heavily involved in Maryland Special Olympics, supporting them as a downhill and cross country ski coach.  Dan previously worked  in facilities and mechanical engineering management but has recently obtained his USCG captain’s license and is looking forward to the journey with the Breeze Lines.
